Notre Dame Conference Helps SMHS Teachers Bridge Gap Between Religion, Science

Popular belief in America holds that religion and science don’t mix. The University of Notre Dame and St. Mary’s High Schools believe differently, and this summer the university sought to bridge these subjects through an interdisciplinary studies training conference. Three teachers from St. Mary’s High School—theology teacher Tena Jelinek and science teachers Suzanne Tibbits and Rebecca Keith—were part of this pilot program, and came away with new ideas and plans.
