Work Done by SMHS Students Set to Fly into Space

Soon work done by St. Mary’s High School’s science students can truly be called “far out.” That’s because experiments they are putting together this week will be sent to the edge of space in a high-altitude weather balloon as part of the Pong Sat program launched by JP Aerospace in California.

Admendment 66 Needs a closer look

SMHS Ambassadors Help with no-so-scary Scare Games

 The students at St. Peter Catholic School in Monument aren’t monsters by any means. But they still had fun on Sept. 18 participating in the Scare Games, a fall field day that this year was based on the Disney Pixar movie “Monsters University.”

SMHS Food Drive Spurs School Spirit, Helps Community

The last year has been a tough one for Colorado Springs and its surrounding communities. First the Waldo Canyon Fire in 2012, then the Black Forest Fire and flooding during the summer of 2013.
