Home Buyers Beware, Home Sellers Beware, Your Realtor May Not Be on Your Side

I am downsizing and plan to put my Rockrimmon house on the market in the Spring of 2015.  My (former) Realtor told me that "location, location, location" has been replaced by "price and pizzazz" and that the price must come down 5% every 30 days.  Pizzazz as in swinging lights in the kitchen and multiple pillows on staged beds.  My reply, "Buyers are not that stupid."

A friend, who is selling her home, told me that Realtors only care about their commission…

SMHS Helps Minneapolis Students Make a Difference in Colorado Springs

When students from DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis made it to Colorado Springs earlier this summer, they explored some of the area’s most popular attractions. But the rafting trip and visits to the Air Force Academy, Manitou Springs, and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo were just minor stops on the group’s bigger itinernary. The students spent most of the week helping to rebuild land affected by fires in the last decade.

MOTHERS’ MILK BANK CELEBRATES NATIONAL BREASTFEEDING AWARENESS MONTH

There is a reason human milk is referred to as “liquid gold”.  Human milk provides newborns and babies with essential immune properties, growth factors, hormones, enzymes and many other important properties that they can not get from formula. During National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, Mothers’ Milk Bank (MMB), a Colorado-based program benefitting women and babies nationwide, celebrates breastfeeding and asks healthy, lactating mothers to donate their milk to help save the lives of…

Kids have different levels of interest in financial education, but it’s never too early to start using these…
