The Making of a Mural

After helping Premier Concepts with murals during the Extreme Makeover - Church Edition at Radiant Church, I was invited to complete 5 classrooms in their Early Childhood Wing: three Duck Ponds, a Fox Den, and a Bear Cave. I have been doing murals since 1994, but this would give me the opportunity to use my talents to glorify God! What an honor and a privilege!

Family Adventure Day at Fine Arts Center

Saturday, August 9th, was Family Adventure Day at the Fine Arts Center, and BOY! did those families have a blast!

Bemis School of Art regularly holds FADs which focus on exhibits in the Fine Arts Center. The Pablo Picasso Etchings is the current temporary exhibit, and the following demonstrations were offered:

-Picasso Wet Chalk Drawings

-Monotype Picasso Painting

Extreme Makeover Part 4: Radiant Church 2.0 Coming Sept. 14

You know when a software program undergoes major revisions and gets released with a "new number?" For example, Excel becomes Excel 2.0? Or maybe Excel 1.2 if it was just a minor upgrade? Okay, I'm no Bill Gates, but you get the point.

In this same fashion, Radiant Church is excited to unveil their "upgraded version," so they're hosting a "Radiant 2.0" Grand Re-Opening, and all are invited!

Nazi, Nerd, Snob, or Geek: Which One Are You?

More and more, I am noticing grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors everywhere I go. Am I the only one who sees these sore thumbs? Errors abound on Internet message boards and chat rooms to the point I can't tolerate reading more than a dozen posts. Is America that uneducated that we simply can't spell or know how to properly use an apostrophe? Or have we become too lazy to correct our mistakes? Do we just not care?
