“Training with the Pros” at Pro Football Camp provides kids with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn football skills from professional football players.  More importantly, the camp provides kids who attend with life lessons that they get to take with them once camp is over and into the next stage of their lives. Past Pro Football Camp attendees, Brock Domann, Peter Isais and Colin Willis believe that the skills and lessons taught at camp had a significant impact on them.

All three of these young men will be seniors this Fall at Pine Creek High School where they will be starting on their varsity football squad for one final season: Domann as the quarterback, Isais as the wide receiver and free safety and Willis as the cornerback. From playing football as boys at Pro Football Camp to being back-to-back State Champions at Pine Creek together these young men’s football careers are far from over.

The purposes of Pro Football Camp is to teach and develop life lessons and character traits that are important as the kids mature in life, both on- and off-the-football field and these boys can attest to that. Isais stated, "Pro Football Camp and the pro athletes instilled in me the importance of commitment, hard work, and giving and gaining respect. Those are three things that I still find valuable in my life and football career.”

Willis agreed then went on to say, “This camp helped me learn the importance of being a team player and then how to actually become one. It’s a skill that has helped me as an athlete, as a student and even as a son.”

Each young man took away countless lessons on how to improve their game from Pro Football Camp that has stuck with them as they’ve grown into the strong players that they are today. Domann stated, “Something I learned that I found to be most important from camp is that the game of football is about how fast you can be mentally not physically, meaning even if you are the strongest and fastest player you may not be the best if you cannot immediately analyze the play and think quickly on your feet.”

Isais said, “One of the more important lessons that has stuck with me over the years is that no matter what, you should always give 100% of your effort because anything less is not only cheating yourself but your teammates as well.”

These young men are great examples that Pro Football Camp can help you excel in football while also growing as a person. Now that Pro Football Camp has been occurring for more than a decade, there are hundreds of past camp attendees who have gone on to play football at their high schools -- these three guys are only a small few that we had a chance to talk with.

Their camp experience impacted them greatly and they wanted to give back to the organization that helped shape them into the young men they are today so they volunteer each summer throughout camp week. They help the campers with their skills and drills, they arrive early and stay late for camp set up, and they get the opportunity to hangout and listen to advice from the Pros. Domann states, “Even though our time as campers is over, Pro Football Camp still manages to impact me each year. It reminds me how important it is to do everything with excellence, to be passionate about what you do, and just an overall reassurance that I love playing football.”

Pro Football Camp is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that helps to shape not only great football players, but also great people. Pro Football Camp is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
