Set June 3rd for the second annual Tri-Lakes Lions Club Kids Fishing Derby and Angler Rodeo. Kids 15 years and younger can come to Palmer Lake at 8:00AM and fish for the biggest "water critter" until 11AM.  Prizes, raffles each hour, special training and fishing rod give-aways to the kids without poles supplied by the Colorado Department of Wildlife.  Lots of new fish stocked by DOW so the fishing should be great.

Bring a canned food item(s) for donation to Tri-Lakes Cares Food Pantry and get ready to Rumble-Fumble-Stumble and wrestle with the fish to see who wins the biggest and longest trophy.

After delivering supplies to Wild Blue, members of Girl Scout Troop 42694 took some time to also deliver a little love and cat tickles to the residents of the sanctuary.  Esher on the left and Zagreb on the right  are current residents of Wild Blue awaiting their forever families but in the mean time, were more than happy to accept the troopers attention and responded with a purr-fect hug and snuggle.

Sunday Feb 26th, Troop 42694 gathered to present "cat goodies" to Wild Blue Animal Rescue And Sanctuary, a No Kill cat rescue in Black Forest Colorado. Since its launch in 2010, Wild Blue has saved the lives of over 2500 animals, with rescue efforts and adoptions spreading to Nebraska and North Carolina. The Sanctuary rescued more than 580 cats and kittens in need during 2016! In this picture Troop 42694 delivered to Wild Blue over three weeks of their Bronze Award efforts collecting needed supplies and advocating for Wild Blue rescue efforts across Central and Northern El Paso County.  With a spirit of scouting and volunteer service to our community, we are grateful to have a great group of future leaders for our State and our Nation helping our community.  Thanks girls and a great big MEOW from the kitties and Wild Blue.

Tri-Lakes Lions Club of Monument CO has great news to start 2017 for Colorado. From July 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016 Colorado Lions Clubs have screened 40,385 children catching over  4,45 kids with vision challenges and providing  referrals and funding to help correct these early life vision difficulties when they are most treatable/correctable. Thank you, thank you KidSight volunteers and friends, this is not possible without all the hard work and support from all those contributing their time and energy to helping our communities.  If you can't wait to see what 2017 brings, please join us in service to our communities around Colorado.  WE SERVE!

Tri-Lakes Lions Club presents a $3,000 check to Tri-lakes Cares in support of Healthy Choices Diabetes Prevention Program activities.  Tri-Lakes Lions, or as commonly known as the "Knights of Sight" is a community service volunteer club with a primary mission to assist our area residents having vision challenges.  As well as working to prevent diabetes, we help with vision screening of children age 4-7 to identify vision challenges and to provide to parents data to help correct any sight issues.
