With all of the press about the teen from Mitchell high School who was hit by a car and subsequently died from his injuries, it was publicized that at a basketball game between Doherty and Palmer a fund raiser (t-shirts were printed and being sold) was going on, to help the family of the teen. At the February Membership meeting of the CSHS/Palmer Alumni Association, they got into the act of buying t-shirts, also. This teen could have been from ANY of the area high schools! As alumni, we all felt the pain of “what could have been”. Between shirt sales and donations, there was about $300 raised by about 45 some odd alumni.
