I have always lived in district 3, not Denver and Manitou like my opponent has. I love my community and am not the candidate who believes "what is good for the city is good for district 3". District 3 has specific strengths and challenges a...nd needs someone who knows the neighborhoods and the issues. I have been preparing for this seat for 2 years by becoming educated and developing strong relationships with community leaders and citizens. I am the candidate who has met with experts, gone on tours, sat in meetings, read materials, participated on boards, and has consisently shown interest in City Council for years. Council is not a consolation prize because another seat couldnt be won. If you want someone with strong leadership, common sense, belief in good business practices, and is ethical, your only choice is LISA CZELATDKO.

My name is Lisa Czelatdko (sa-lot-ko) and I am running for District 3 City Council.  I feel great passion for this community I live in with my husband Tom and our 4 children.  I am disappointed and no longer tolerable of how things have been going with this City.  I know that the residents in D3 are needing someone to represent their specific interests and be their voice in City Hall.  I am not a career politician and have been interested in the strengths and challenges of D3 since originally running against former Councilman Heimlicher 2 years ago.  I have earned the respect and support of many community leaders including 2 past D3 Councilors, County Commissioner Sallie Clark and Jerry Heimlicher.  I have former ElPaso County treasurer Sandra Damron as my campaign treasurer. I will be using current communication tools like website, blogging, Facebook, Twitter, and newsletters to reach out to the broader public to educate and be accessible.  I will repair relationships between City Councilors and the County Commissioners and work together to collaborate on regionalization.  I will remain fiscally conservative and work with the City staff in thinking and planning for the future instead of just reacting to things in crisis. I have a that is almost complete and I invite you to take a look at me and what I can bring to the City as a District 3 representative. Thank you, Lisa

See below what my opponent thinks about our neighborhoods in D3.
